for a purpose

Updated: Jan 13, 2020

Today was weird. Ever have those off days where you don't know what's going? Your mind is circulating over 100 things, you feel sad but nothing is wrong and you're just confused? That was me today, and honestly in this very moment.

I've been in a funk lately wondering where I am going to live, what my 5 year plan is, will I travel the world like I want too, will I ever get out of debt? All these things have been circulating through my head for the past few days, but today was an exceptional amount.

Right when I spoke with God, asking for guidance, asking for direction, I opened my Jesus calling book and it said:

"I AM TAKING CARE OF YOU. Feel the warmth and security of being enveloped in My loving Presence. Every detail of your life is under My control. Moreover, everything fits into a pattern for good, to those who love Me and are called according to My design and purpose."

I needed to hear this. Jesus needed to remind me that He was in control. I was reminded that the past 4 years of my life have been me making decisions and God changing them for His purpose and everything that has happened was for the best.

4 years ago I never imagined that I would've visited 8 different countries, live in Australia for 2 years and now have a full on career in the travel industry.

It can be hard to trust in God’s timing. We are a people who want what we want and would prefer it right now. Sometimes it seems as if we are not even on God’s clock. Yet, there is never a time in which He is not aware of the desires of our hearts.

God knows and pays attention to the desires of your heart, I mean He is the one who gave you those desires. Patience is key while walking with Christ. He knows you better than anyone and knows what's best for you in HIS timing.

Ecclesiastes 3:1 "There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens."

Lamentations 3:25-26 "The Lord is good to those whose hope is in him, to the one who seeks him; it is good to wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord."

There is a comfort knowing things are in his control so I challenge you to live by Faith and not by sight and God will lay out the way he has planned, in his timing, for your purpose.
