Texas loves Texas like Kanye loves Kanye. This state is the most patriotic place you'll experience. With their giant flags overshadowing the USA flag you'll see the true heart of Texas right when you enter. Experience city, nightlife, wild west and football all at once!


Dallas:

Best places to stay in Dallas:

- W Dallas Victory: This hotel isn't for the budget-er but it's great for a fun one night! Beautifully designed with a rooftop pool and bar, there's always a party here.

- The Wild, Wild West Dallas Irving Backpackers' B&B: 10 minute walk from downtown and has free breaky!

- Deep Ellum Hostel: Newly renovated and just opened this year, this gem is in the heart of the historical district being walking distance from live music and nightclubs.


Best things to do:

- 6th Floor Museum: The museum is all about the life, death and legacy of President John F Kennedy. Additionally, Dealey Plaza, the area surrounding the museum, is very walkable and tourist friendly!

- Sundance Square: From shopping, piano bars and amazing restaurants this place will keep you entertained for hours.

- Stockyards: Get a taste of the wild west and experience local rodeos, stock shows and Western Wear.

- Trinity River Audubon Centre: Relax in the world's largest urban forests. Walk along the riverside, see some birds and take a boat ride down the river.

San Antonio:

- Menger: Walking distance to the riverwalk and Alamo, Menger is the perfect location for a getaway in San Antonio.

- Take a day-trip to New Braunfels and go tubing down the San Marcos river.

- Glenwood Cemetery: The not-so spooky grave-site is home to a number of historical graves. This is one of the most serene cemeteries you would ever visit.
